We collect the categories of Personal Information identified below:

  • Professional or employment-related information, such as the Algoworks customer that holds an account with us.
  • Inferences based on the categories of Personal Information listed above.

We disclose each of the categories of Personal Information described above to vendors that help us provide the Services and Algoworks’s services to you. For example, our vendors assist Algoworks by maintaining user accounts, providing customer support, processing payments and providing analytics and storage service. In addition, we disclose Personal Information to our vendors to help maintain the security and integrity of our Services, improve our Services, correct errors that occur in the Services and provide marketing and advertising services. We do not “sell” or “share” (as those terms are defined under applicable laws) Personal Information.

B. How we use personal information

Algoworks uses Personal Information to:

• Provide you with the Services.
• Communicate with you, such as through chat bots, about your inquiries or requests, to request feedback from you and to send you updates and messages about our Services.
• Review the usage and maintain the operation of our Services.
• Analyze, develop and improve our Services.
• Monitor, protect and maintain the security and integrity of our Services and our business, such as protecting against and preventing fraud, unauthorized transactions, claims and other liabilities.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations and respond to lawful requests and communications from law enforcement and other government officials.
• Carry out transactions in which information held by us is among the assets transferred or is otherwise relevant to the evaluation, negotiation or completion of the transaction.
• Protect our rights, privacy, safety, property those of third parties.
• Fulfill any other purpose that we disclose to you when we collect your Personal Information.
• Send you advertising and promotional material from us or our marketing partners.

C. Retention

We will retain your Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide you with our services, unless you request to delete or otherwise limit our use of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. However, we will retain and use your Personal Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

We collect Personal Information from you under a few different circumstances.

• When You Use our Services. We collect Personal Information from you when inquire about or create an account to use the Services.
• When You Make a Purchase. If you purchase services from us, we or our payment processors collect a payment card number or other payment information.
• When You Provide Information About a Third Party. If register another person to use the Services, we will collect their Personal Information from you (e.g., name, contact information) in order to create an account and communicate with them. Our use of Google Analytics and Advertising technologies: We implement Google Analytics cookies to collect personal information about you when visit our website for purposes of remarketing, impression reporting and demographic and interest reporting. This information includes unique identifiers, language preferences, information about which pages you visit and information about your devices. To the extent allowed by Google, Algoworks instructs Google not to combine analytics data with other data that it controls. You can opt-out of the use of this technology through the Google Analytics opt-out browser add on, Google Ad Settings, and Ad Settings for mobile apps.

C. Information we receive from third parties

We may receive Personal Information from other sources, including:

• Officials in your company, who may provide us with information to create an account that enables you to use our Services.
• Social Media Platforms, depending on their policies and your settings on the platforms.
• Other Companies that provide Personal Information to supplement what we already know about you, including data aggregators.

D. Combination of Information

We may combine Personal Information that we receive from different sources. For example, we may combine Personal Information that we collect from you offline with Personal Information we collect from you through our Services. Similarly, we may combine Personal Information that we receive from third parties with Personal Information we already have about you. We use, disclose and protect combined Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

How we disclose your personal information

We may disclose each category of your Personal Information that we collect to the following categories of recipients:

• Our service providers: We disclose your Personal Information to our processors or service providers that provide us with business, professional or technical support services, help us operate our business and the Services or administer activities on our behalf. We require our service providers to only use your Personal Information in connection with providing services to Algoworks.

• Competent governmental, regulatory and public authorities: We may disclose your Personal Information to government and law enforcement authorities, in each case to comply with legal or regulatory obligations or requests.
• Relevant third parties as part of a corporate transaction: In the event of a reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including in connection with a bankruptcy or similar proceeding), we may disclose or transfer your Personal Information to certain third parties, such as the acquiring entity and its advisers.
• Other third parties: We will disclose your Personal Information to other third parties at your direction or with your consent. Additionally, we will disclose your Personal Information as we believe necessary or appropriate to: (a) comply with applicable law; (b) enforce our terms and conditions; (c) protect our operations; (d) protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or those of you or others; and (e) allow us to pursue available remedies or limit damages that we may sustain.

Finally, we may deidentify, anonymize or aggregate Personal Information so that it will no longer be considered Personal Information. Our use and disclosure of such information is not governed by this Privacy Policy.

You will need to opt out separately on all of your browsers and devices, as each opt out will apply only to the specific browser or device from which you opt out. If you delete or reset your cookies or mobile identifiers, change browsers or use a different device, any opt-out cookie or tool may no longer work and you will have to opt out again.

Even if you choose to opt out of receiving interest-based advertising, you may still receive advertising, but the advertisements may be less relevant.

Authorized agents will need to demonstrate that you’ve authorized them to act on your behalf. Algoworks is the controller (or similarly responsible organization) of the Personal Information of individuals who reside outside of the United States. Our legal bases for processing Personal Information under this Privacy Policy are summarized below.

• Processing purposes: Providing the Services and maintaining their security; personalizing your user experience.
• Legal bases of processing: Your consent and our legitimate interests.
• Retention period: Stored as long as necessary for security and debugging.
• User account information

• Legal basis of processing: Performance of our contracts with Algoworks customers; your consent.
• Retention period: Stored until you delete your account, or Algoworks deletes your account pursuant to a customer agreement.

Under applicable law, you may have certain rights in relation to your Personal Information, including:

• Right to access: You have the right to request access to, or copies (and transmission) of, the Personal Information we hold about you and the purposes for which we are using it.
• Right to rectify: You have the right to correct inaccurate Personal Information that we have collected from and maintain about you, subject to appropriate verification.
• Right to erase: You have the right to erase Personal Information pertaining to you, under certain conditions. We will assess any deletion request after verifying your identity and work to respond within one calendar month, and let you know if we need additional time.
• Right to object: You have the right to object to processing the Personal Information we process, under certain conditions.
• Right to restrict: You have the right to restrict the processing of your Personal Information, under certain conditions.
• Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the data we have collected from you. Under certain conditions, you may request that we transfer your Personal Information to another organization, or directly to you.
• Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.

Children’s privacy

Our Services are intended for a general audience. We do not direct our Services to minors (individuals under the age of 18), nor do we knowingly solicit or collect any Personal Information from minors.

Data security

We have implemented physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to maintain the security, confidentiality and integrity of your information. However, as no transmission of information over the internet is absolutely secure, we cannot guarantee the safety of your information.

International transfers

Algoworks is a global business and may transfer Personal Information in countries outside of the EEA or UK, including in the United States. Where required by applicable law, we apply additional safeguards to protect Personal Information during transfer and, as appropriate, during local processing.

In particular, where we transfer your information outside the EEA, Switzerland or UK, and where required by law, we implement an approved data transfer mechanism in place, such as the standard EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Revisions to this privacy policy

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to change, modify, add, remove or otherwise revise portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will post the change(s) to our Services. Your continued use of our Services following the posting of changes to these terms means you accept these changes. If we change the Privacy Policy in a material way, we will provide appropriate notice to you, such as through a temporary banner on our Site, an email sent to users for whom we have an email address or by temporarily noting “UPDATED” next to the Privacy Policy link on the footer of our Site.
